I met my 1st member of the Boogaloo boys today in Lansing.
He was a 30yo pizza delivery driver who came armed & didn’t want to give his name. He wore a Hawaiian shirt. He said: “We don’t like the massive over-reaches of a lot branches of our govt today.”
Everyone was peaceful. https://twitter.com/michpoligal/status/1350889903379406850

Me: Why did you bring a gun?
Guy who wouldn't give name: “It’s just a thing we do…”
Me: “Are you anti-govt?”
I mean, not exactly. We don’t like the massive over-reaches of a lot branches of our government today.
Me: Are you far right?
Him: No.
Me: Are you extremists?
Him: No...

Me: Are you a militia?
Him: I mean, not really. I mean, I feel like your traditional militia, like gets together and trains and does all this other stuff. And I mean, like we don't really do a really do that. We’re more of a protest group than anything...

...We're just kind of loose, everybody's got their own ideals and, you know, whatever. And we all kind of agree on some basic things.”
The man I interviewed is not pictured above.
