Just saw some old videos of myself from 2010, presenting on AI risks and futurism.

I think most of what I said has aged very well, but I keep cringing at how little I was thinking about how to monetize things.

What people don't pay for, doesn't matter.

Perhaps another way to look at it is that if you are going to navigate life in a principled (rational) way, you have to make acquisition of wealth your number 1 priority and relegate everything else you care about to priority 2 and below.

You can still play positive sum games with people (win-win) where both or all parties make money. But don't play lose-win games where you're on the 'lose' side.
