Thread: I love all the responses to this. But I have a little niggle. Sorry!
Not all will see lockdown as an opportunity. For some itâs a time of added stress coping with remote teaching, working from home, children and relatives to manage, covid worry etc #SLTchat 1/6 https://twitter.com/sltchat/status/1350895792995893254

Itâs so great to hear the way schools are supporting subject knowledge development during lockdown, but we just need to be mindful that some of our staff will be just getting though it all as best they can. We need to support them and not make them feel guilty. #SLTchat 2/6
The opportunities @lodgeparkacad and @DRETnews for subject knowledge development are just incredible, but even better is how flexible we are - to ensure weâre acknowledging the different and challenging circumstances our staff find themselves in. #SLTchat 3/6
Itâs important that opportunities for professional development are a) embedded in the culture b) flexible & adaptive c) based on professional trust. For some, lockdown will be a chance for their subject knowledge to flourish, for others itâll be on hold. Thatâs okay. #SLTchat 4/6
Itâs all about balance. Knowing what your goals are, but knowing that school improvement isnât something that is done without people. #SLTchat 5/6
I worry a little bit that in all the talk of development, sharing and good practice we see on Twitter (which I love btw) we might overlook the teacher whoâs just getting by, and is made to feel a bit low because she doesnât have the capacity right now to join in. #SLTchat 6/6
