Idols aren't your friends, and you shouldn't let yourself become emotionally dependent on seeing them.

...But sometimes it just happens. When you spend years seeing them grow, interacting with them and having them indirectly interact back, it's easy to form a pseudo-friendship.+
That's why it DOES suck when they're less active on social media. It feels very similar to falling out of touch with a friend, or putting a lot of energy into trying to stay in touch with someone, but they don't text you back.

Consciously you KNOW it's not their fault, +
Because a) they're not your friends, and b) they have their own lives, and that is GOOD. I'm HAPPY that they're taking time for themselves (presumably), especially during this pandemic.

...But it's easy to miss them. They're not obligated to come interact with their fans, +
and I PRAY they never see comments intended to guilt trip them into interacting with us rn... but I still miss them. For years they've been so personable and "real" with us, that it's become so easy to love them as PEOPLE, not just as idols.

I just hope they're happy rn 🥺
