Michiganders are not stupid. We all know, yes even white supremacist neonazis, that Detroit was always going to vote D. That’s why white supremacist neonazis hate Detroit so much. That the lie that there was ANY doubt about outcome STILL hasn’t been walked back in ANY way-
Says that these fucks are NOT about ‘healing.’ They WANT to have that level of distrust in the system always there, fermenting.
And of course, that doubt and unrest they want bubbling and fermenting below the surface is doubt in legitimacy of blackness.
They want to find some way to say it’s ok to be white supremacist. That’s what they’re looking for right now. A way to say white supremacy is ok without ‘ok-ing’ attacks on institutions.
They can’t see that if you position ‘institutions’ as ‘black,’ then the institutions are a direct threat to white supremacy.
unless republicans come out en masse, from donald trump to ted cruz to lauren boebert to mike shirkey and say explicitly--there was no question, none, about elections, we made that up. i'm fairly certain that this 'unrest' will never end.
the people that attacked the capitol and their supporters--they can see that we can only survive as all of one thing or all of the other as well. and they are determined that if it's not all white supremacy, then it's not going to survive.
we've all seen this play out in multiple ways thru the years--what we're seeing with trump destroying everything is what we've seen in a smaller scale form for centuries. many white people would rather burn down everything than share a bus seat with a black person.
that destruction is what the Rs have tapped into. they think they know how to 'manage' it.
