(Thread 7)
Curtis Samuel is one of my favorite FA WRs. He offers a different skill set and can play multiple positions. He can absolutely create magic and where he ends up can offer a big upside boost. Let’s dig deeper!

Curtis Samuel is one of my favorite FA WRs. He offers a different skill set and can play multiple positions. He can absolutely create magic and where he ends up can offer a big upside boost. Let’s dig deeper!

Curtis Samuel had a big year last season, tallying 850+ yards on 77 catches. But he offers more than receiving, he tallied a 4.88 YPC on 200 yards, and 2 TDs. He finds way to create yards while being utilized in a multitude of different ways. (video via: @NFLonCBS)
Curtis Samuel ends up in FA class that is stacked with WRs. He also enters a economy that isn’t the best suited to hand out big deals. But banking on a one year deal could bode well for Samuel providing he plays well again next year.
I wouldn’t doubt that Samuel ends up somewhere on a two year deal either, he’s a great player given his skill set, and brings an extra layer of preparations for defenses. I don’t think Carolina retains Samuel, however. Already having DJ Moore and Robby Anderson makes this easy.
Carolina has some holes around this team, and addressing a WR3/RB doesn’t quite bode well if you have to spend cap to do so. Carolina needs defensive help, and OL help, as well as probably a QB, doesn’t seem like a situation Samuel will want to return too.
I really like Arizona. Like it would be my favorite landing spot of the offseason if the Cardinals landed Samuel. It would be a match made up in heaven, pairing Samuel and Hopkins alongside Kyler. Kyler needs another WR, especially one who plays with such uniqueness in Samuel.
They could become real creative on offense, adding Samuel to a team that could bring in a youthful gadget RB. Not only benefitting from adding Samuel to Kyler, Hopkins will gain a more boost from this as well.
Hopkins will be entering year 2 in Arizona, and adding another guy the defense would have to stress about could free up Hopkins some. Kyler seems to need another weapon, as his passing still hasn’t taken that next step. I really love this Samuel to Arizona fit, boosting everybody
Samuel won’t demand big money, but will be a size-able short term deal, especially for someone who can play just about anywhere. Curtis Samuel could see a big jump in his dynasty value landing in a WR2 role, instead of the WR3 role he had in Carolina. (video via: @nflnetwork)
Curtis Samuel currently sits at WR34 in my dynasty rankings, and I could see him finishing anywhere between WR15-WR55. As always, thoughts and shares are appreciated! Where do you think Curtis Samuel ends up?
