If you are someone that is struggling to find meaningful work and make ends meet, worried about disappointing your family, etc...I get it. I've been there.

I've had to sell things I love to pay the bills.

It's brutal. You fear the night because you can't sleep

The thought of letting your family down makes you want to end your life.

Maybe I'm lucky, but I have always found that if I keep searching and fighting, an opportunity reveals itself.

It may not be the one you wanted, but is the one you need.

I mean hell, I poured massive amounts of $ into my brewery. Could not get banks to refinance me, so had to do it on my own.

Then Covid came and whacked us into oblivion.

I thought "surely God will find a way to save this."

Nope.

Like a fly caught in a web, every squirm further tightened the noose.

So I had to confront my worst fear, which is that we'd close and all that $ would go to waste. Once we did that, things got easier. Not great, but easier.

Now, after almost closing, we have lots of people interested in buying it from us. Some don't even care about the numbers. They care about the potential.

I think that's silly, but hey, works for me!

Close or sell, I will never get the $ back that we put into this business. But you know what I will have? Experience in building a brick & mortar from scratch, with no experience.

Management skills. Operations skills.

The next effort will be 100x easier as a result.

When I think deeply about it, I realize that it's no different than paying for an education, which is also why I don't think school should be free.

It's only worth something when it costs you something. When you have had to give up part of yourself in order to achieve it.
