I appreciate that MA DPH offers us quite a bit of covid19 data đź‘ŤThis helps us review the notion that slower vaccination roll-out may be because..equity(??) Lets look at one lens on this race/ethnicity: 4% of doses administered are to Hispanic, 3% Black non-hispanic. 1/5
Vaccination: unknown for 36% ethnicity, 16% race. I'm not sure how to map 'multi' in this report to the race/ethnicity categories in the other MA covid19 reports -please comment below if you can help me on this! In these vaccine records, multi > than census would suggest 2/5
Cumulatively, Hispanic people in MA were 7.5% and Black non-Hispanic people 7% of the MA covid19 deaths 3/5
Hispanic = 15% of ever hospitalized in MA, and Black = 10% of ever hospitalized. 10% of the data on race/ethnicity is missing for this category and 26% is missing for the 'total covid19 cases' category. 4/5
The reports are regularly updated here. Btw, I đź’ś public health workers & know everyone working flat out. I'm still impatiently optimistic. We can do more/better/faster-if our state puts all efforts behind prioritizing communities that need it the most.// https://www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-vaccination-program#weekly-covid-19-vaccination-report-
