Twitter is a cesspool-- we all know that. Every one of us increasingly sees it; many folks go quiet-- I am migrating soon to a new private account @therealvinaypr1 so đź‘‹đź‘‹

But that doesn't bother me; here is what bothers me
People with blue check marks or fellow academics who use incendiary rhetoric

Already I see some claiming that my position is "dangerous" "harmful" "not smart" etc. Or engage in the tired sport of what gives me a right to have an opinion.

yawn
And why it is so difficult to grasp that even people who disagree with you are motivated to maximize the good-- they just conceptualize that differently, or weigh evidence differently

amazing, folks do not see that, & continue their silly comments
It's the academics (or former ones) who r the problem. Get too angry when encountering ideas that deviate from theirs, & don't realize this a cesspool of malicious actors and anonymous accounts.

Your intolerance to a range of ideas both poisons the academy and online forums
I will continue to make some ideas available on this open account, but the good ones will be on the other account.

You can now return to your fear-mongering and looking for a villain, and trying to return to cable tv
You can follow @VPrasadMDMPH.
