Representation is tired too
It’s all tired. Sure it matters but ppl abuse it and y’all fall for it every time.
Example, a project centering Black women created and produced by Black women, who also shit on Black women, & who are homophobic towards gay and queer Black women, in private. But since their work is visible to the pubic and provides representation it’s enough.
Another example, an entire project centering Blackness and the entire narration of the film is stolen intellectual property created by a Black woman. She’s not even credited, but since the “content” is fire, this goes overlooked.
It’s not enough for me. What people do in private matters to me. How you treat people matters to me.
Lol like the depth of people’s work is non existent. And no ones cares or attempts to hold people accountable because everyone cries about the lack of _____.
Idk y’all, but what who you are in private when no ones looking matters to me. Who you choose in partnership matters to me. Bushes be talking about the revolution but me married to the patriarchy. Lol okkkkk.
