People ask me all the time for tips on selling/getting eyes on your sales/finding success in the hobby/what has made the takeovers work, etc etc.

And here it is, a thread:
It’s not my hot pop-tart takes, and it’s not even the cards I own.

It’s the fact that I’ve stayed. I’ve seen so many dip, come back in, dip, come back in, and then wonder why it’s not clicking.

Consistency.

You show up for people, they show up for you.
And “people” is a key word.

Your audience are Hunans.

Not just a number, not just a potential sale.

Get to know them. They are rad. They’ve become great friends of mine.

Knowing them deeper than a profile page gives me life.
It reminds me of my touring days.

It was never lost on me that the most humble of musicians, and the ones who genuinely interacted with their fanbase were the ones with the deepest, most sincere following.

You could just see it at their merch tables. It wasn’t a transaction,
...it was a conversation. A new relationship.

I’ve got a passion for this community, and I desire to see more people tap into that.

Not in order to just earn sales, but to know that any enrichment of the hobby community is important for the longevity and enjoyment.
Keep feeling the joy.

A bad box of cards doesn’t mean th hobby sucks. (It would literally not be thrilling or fun if everyone pulled something huge every time.

An empty retail shelf doesn’t mean the hobby sucks. (There is literally always still something to rip on there)...
