THREAD: What do British people think about #Jews  and how do British Jews feel about #antisemitism?

To find out, we asked @KingsCollegeLon and @YouGov to survey British adults, and we surveyed British Jews… /1

55% of British adults harbour  no anti-Jewish views at all, but a third have between 1 and 3 antisemitic beliefs and 12% have entrenched anti-Jewish views /2

Jews make up less than half a percent of Britain’s population…so antisemitism can be pretty intimidating /3

For example, over one in ten British adults think our tiny Jewish community has too much power in the media…and it gets worse… /4

Almost a quarter of British adults think Israelis are behaving like Nazis, which is antisemitic under the International Definition of Antisemitism used by the Government /5

So how do British Jews feel? You might be surprised… /6

Nearly two thirds of British Jews now feel they have a long-term future in the UK, but after years of high hate crime and the scandal of antisemitism in the @UKLabour Party, 12% feel that they don’t /7

88% of British Jews still think the @UKLabour Party is harbouring antisemites, which is about twice as bad as for any other party and shows how much work Sir @Keir_Starmer still has ahead of him /8

44% of British Jews now hide signs of their Judaism due to hatred and the same percentage think hate crime against them would go unpunished even if there was enough evidence /9
