It's really not complicated. @katieporteroc became a viral sensation not just because she flipped a district from red to blue (and won re-election unapologetically running on #medicare4all) but bc the country fell in love w/ the way she brilliantly and hilariously right-sized

CEO's from big pharma, big banks & other financial institutions that for too long have been above the law. She has been saying what every single one of us has wanted to say to these men for ever. She resonated. For too long these companies have profited & cheated the system

w/out consequence & no one even says a word to them. Katie Porter on the Financial Services Committee gave every disenfranchised & cheated consumer a voice. She finally made ppl feel like maybe something was going to be done about abuses on Wall St. Which is why the decision

to not grant her a waiver is sinister af. I don't believe for 1 second that it's just a coink-e-dink that a bunch of ppl who've been in leadership & Congress for 900 years & have been taking that sweet, sweet campaign cash from Wall St. just happen to decide she's been there long

enough. They continue to refuse to groom younger ppl for leadership roles & in fact, this is more proof that they actually quash younger , talented ppl in the party from flourishing & growing. It's seriously like they want to lose & be a party that is hated & only caters to the

DC/beltway establishment class. It's like they see someone coming up in the party who is popular & authentic with the base & they be like "Oh, snap! Better crush them! We need get Steny Hoyer back out in front!" This is corrupt af, & there is no good explanation to have refused

Katie Porter this waiver other than the fact that the Dem party is in bed with Wall St. and @katieporteroc continually holding them accountable was extremely inconvenient to leadership so they booted her using procedural nonsense. And if you don't believe that, just go look at

all their contributions & who funds their campaigns. It's pretty clear who they value, & why Katie Porter isn't on the Financial Services Committee anymore. The reality is, Dem leadership only cares about virtue signaling & performative wokeness that comes in the form of kneeling

in Kente cloth or writing shit on Twitter that will get them likes bc it's easy & it doesn't require action. But when it comes to the real work that happens on committees & in legislation, well, their actions are pretty clear.
