It's open, honest and unapologetic, and what I've found is that it's almost impossible to have cishet male friends AND be emotionally open at the same time.

Like, friendships w/guys are fucky because we're not capable of being friends without it being put through a filter of aggressive competition...and it's boring as fuck.

We *cannot* process a male friendship without fighting over something. Women. Sports. Politics. Show any sign of compassion and you're a "pussy". Be open about your feelings and you're a "faggot".

Which is why most of the people I follow/listen to are women; there's no bullshit "toxicity" criteria I have to fulfill to be allowed to speak honestly about my own feelings...

It's not even that men are trash-- it's that when called on it, we defend our shit by doing something MORE toxic just to double down, like apes throwing feces. The only thing we know how to do is *add more trash*.

Most men I know don't want to change at all, and it's awful because for those men trying to be better, there is little to no support or solidarity from other guys-- and that sucks.
