What pisses off locals in 'developing' countries is that some of these expats from 'developed' countries get away with so much at the expense of locals.
The system favors them because they have a powerful passport & can get away with making money with a tourist visa /1

But you as a weak passport holder, think about all the requirements you must meet to just visit these 'developed' countries. You can't even book a one way ticket.

In as much as it's not their fault that they have strong passports, it's their responsibility to understand their privilege.
Indonesians have been calling out both white & Black tourists for overstepping. For being ignorant.

It's not a local's job to teach you how to use your privilege for good but as you've seen today, they will call you out with no mercy.
