I remember my first semester as a lecturer. Time was 2pm and a student took permission to leave my class "to pray".

I looked at him shocked and asked him the following.

"Do you know I am a Muslim too?"

"How will other students who aren't Muslims feel if I ditch an ongoing lecture to go and pray?"

He didn't answer the questions & only stated how important the prayer was.

I heard a resonating "hmm" from the rest of the class.

I paused for a few seconds more and let him go.

IMAGINE the class collapsed killing us all while he was praying, they ll say "Allah saved the only believer"

IMAGINE the Mosque collapsed on him while the class went on, they'll say "Allah called him"
