As Laxmi happened to glance in that direction, she saw the beautiful horse and was instantly spell bound by its sheer beauty. She was so intent staring at the horse that she did not pay attention to what Vishnu ji was saying.
Looking towards Laxmi engrossed in staring at the horse, he curses her to become a mare.
Laxmi is grief stricken. She urges her husband to relieve her from this curse. But he refuses. She then pleads to show her the way to come out of this curse.

So he tells her that if she bore a son she would be granted her former self.
So she comes down to Mrityu lok and goes to the same place where Surya's wife had performed Tapasya.

Heheya vansh. For this son to be born Vishnu would come as horse and would be attracted to Laxmi who now was a mare. He also informs her that she was cursed since she had forgotten Jagdamba for a moment while staring at the horse. Saying this much he leaves.
After reaching Kailash the first thing Shiva does is to send his emissary Chitrarup to Vishnu to get him attracted towards Laxmi by talking about things that would make him crave for Laxmi. Chitrarup is successful in his endeavor.
Vishnu acquires the form of horse and reaches to the spot which is the confluence of Yamuna and Tamsa to meet Laxmi. Laxmi recognises her husband. They both stay there and Laxmi gives birth to a son.
As soon this task is accomplished, Vishnu urges Laxmi to come back in

So this way Laxmi is relieved of her curse and Turvasu gets a son.
