Meet Lily, she is a cat who lives in Sum Shui Po, Hong Kong, in a grocery store with her owner Meher

Prepare for a while ride
Twenty hours ago, Lily was outside the shop where she lived, she was well known in the neighbourhood.

Suddenly a middle aged woman picked her up, and ran off. The was captured on the dash cam of a nearby vehicle.
Passers-by and store owners tried to stop the women, telling her that the cat has an owner, to no avail.

Distraught, Meher called the police.
Aware that in a catnapping case, the chances of rescuing the victim falls rapidly within the first 24 hours, the police reacted swiftly.

Scores of officers were deployed to investigate.
An actual press conference was held to find Lily
Pictures of Lily was shown to the public, with leaflets distributed.
An arrest was made within 10 hours, based on the dash cam information and witness statements.

Lily was rescued by police officers 20 hours after her disappearance. In a flat owned by the relative of the suspect.

Lily was in a good condition when rescued.
Moral of the story: don't steal cats in Hong Kong.
