Who lives?

55 year old has teenage children. The 42 year old has no children.

Who lives?

This is why we must keep Covid19 at bay. Health workers will have to make these decisions.

We will be putting lives against each other exactly like this.

That's why Doctors hate talking about the details.

Those are the nasty details.

The nasty 'match-ups' they will be faced with. Deciding worth.

Something humans should never do.

Right?

Except humans do this.

Every day.

Instead of "triage" it's called capitalism. "Markets".

And in government, it's called "priorities".

It's why some people are homeless.

And starve.

And die prematurely.

We decided, for any number of reasons we've imagined and created, that they should.

Collectively we make those decisions with our votes in every election.
