SIGNIFICANCE OF BRAJ & ITS DUST( Raj)
Braj is predominantly a forest culture. As mentioned in Skanda Purana, it may be possible to count the grains of dust on the earth bt it'll nt be possible to count the holy places in Braj.

Once the Lord Krishna requested Radharani to go to earth . Radharani said- My heart cannot be happy in a place where there is no Vrindavan, no Yamuna river , no Govardhan Hiĺl..So Yamuna ji, Govardhan Hill & Vrindavan dham came directly from Golok.
After that water of Birija river( river in Golok abode of RadheKrishna)was poured into it & then Krishna took the sand (raj) to the size of his 84 fingers & spread it across river Yamuna in the area of 84 Kos( 252 kms). Joining the name of river Birija & Raj of Golok ,
dham ,it became Braj. In this area there are 12Vans ( forests) , 24 Upvans(Gardens) ,20 Kunds( Ponds) & villages named as Nand Gaon, Vrindavan, Barsana, Kosi ,Mathura, Maant etc. Once the city was created , Krishna requested al the trees, birds etc in Golok
dham to came to Braj & stay in there.This is how Braj appeared in this world directly from Golok.
DUST OF BRAJ- Once Shri JagannathDas ( a saint from 17th century) was in Vrindavan. One day he was v hungry & he saw a sweeper sweeping the floor. He asked him, I am hungry , can u gv me ur roti? The Sweeper replied- O Sage , why do u ridicule me. I am a low caste sweeper.
Why would u eat my roti? Then Sage said- A sweeper of Vrindavan is superior to any Brahmin. The sweeper cudnt disobey & gave his roti to sage. However,when this event spread in Vrindavan, all d Brahmins complained that d sage did an impure action .To this sage replied-
I understand ur complaint. You all r learned ppl. Dont u know the importance of Vraj Raj. It is so surcharge with d love of RadheKrishna that even Lord Brahma desires to be a particle of Vrindavan. Therefore , Isnt a sweeper who constantly serving the dust, breathing it,
rolling into it, bathing in it is more pure than anyone else? This silenced everyone.
Adiguru Shankracharya love towards Vraj Raj- In his journey days, wherever Shankracharya going to tk a seat, before this, his followers were digging that much part of the land & smear it & water it to mk d soul pious. Bt when he moved towards Vrindavan, then he denied his
disciples to dig d land. He immed. Seated on d land & lied down in d soil of Vrindavan & told there is no need to spray water .When disciples asked d reason, he replied with a Govindashtakam.
गोष्टप्रांगण रिंगनलोल मन अनायास परमयसम, वृंदावनभुवि वृंदारकंगणवृदारायं वंदेह ॥”

This is nt an ordinary land.This is d soil to which celestial gods even long for.
Shri Vallabhacharya about Vraj Raj- There was one Vaishnav named Prabhu Das Jalota. One day he went to Radhakund where Vallabhacharya was sitting with the devotees.He said his devotees to give prasad to him too. Then Jalota said , he hadn't taken a bath yet, he'll tk prasad
after bathing. To this Vallabhacharya replied- "अरे वृक्ष वृक्षावणुशारी और पते पते चतुर्भुज
यत्र वदावने तत्र स्रात्वा स्रात्वा कथत्ज" Krishna resides in every tree & even every leaf of Vrindavan. He has shown & proved it to Brahma & u r in d same Braj.
