This came right at a time when Indian NSA Ajit Doval was meeting with the high profiles of Kabul & where first VP mentioned that they discussed about the "enemy". Rumors are that Indians are offering for boots on grounds (denying publicly) after US withdrawl. (/2)
The tweet of Amrullah Saleh is a clear indication that an open partnership in security regime is now going to take place b/w Kabul and Dehli. This is also a clear indication that India is not in favour of the on going Peace process at Doha, Qatar. (/3) https://twitter.com/pajhwok/status/1350097023144501251?s=19
India has also been assigned with the position of chairing the committee of Taliban Sanctions in UN. This also happened in last week and was mostly didn't get any traction in mainstream news or on social media chatter. In this background, if TTA sees India as a direct threat, it will be interesting to watch how would they react to the presence of Indian boots on ground. Although Indian mil aid to Afghan isn't something new, but partnering on ground will be a new overt shift in policies. (/5)
This latest attack in Kunduz airbase destroying to combat ready helis needs to be taken as an indicator. Threat matrix of every stakeholder in Afghanistan is fast eveloving and it will have a spill over effect on Pakistan and overall Intra Afghan peace process.(/6)
Biden has appointed Kurt Campbell as his advisor for Indo-Pacific. He is known as the "Indo-Pacific Szar"/"Asia Szar". He has called for spreading out US forces. It may seem irrelevant to Afghan, but it has a direct impact on Asian security paradigm. India coming in the picture as a front runner in Afghan security matters, will be raising alarms in region. We Hope that Afghan political figures/ security experts may knock some sense around & take steps which may not push the region to a never ending conflict. (end)
