Not even 10 years ago, Glasgow Rangers were reduced to less than 5 regular players, thrown from the top flight to the bottom tier & left with their greatest rivals facing almost-guaranteed fortunes and success in their absence.
To be where the Rangers are today, is astounding.

Lee Wallace, Lee McCulloch, Neil Alexander & Andy Little were basically all the club were left with. Youth players stepped in, some thrived & others never worked out. A transfer ban & bare finances left the squad with little room for tinkering. The growth to now is incredible.
Anyway, it’s nearly 2am here in Virginia. Up in 5 hours for kick off!

I’ll never forget sitting up in the stands when we played East Fife for our first home game. The Union Bears pulled out a banner that read:

Because about 5 minutes after I took a photo of the display, a fox ran by me and got onto the pitch. Just had a vision of the whole scene & now it’s all coming back. Hahaha.
