Hey parents: please do not allow your kids to make stereotypical connects about Jewish people - even ones that seem flattering (good with money, rich, whatever). All these stereotypes are and were used to justify killing millions of Jews. Gently correct your child & explain.
It's rly common in Los Angeles and the kids seem to think it's flattering ... Most of the time they don't realize how positive stereotypes are still stereotypes & how easily a they become a reason to hate someone. IE being good with $$ = lie that they're trying to take/control $
Similarly, stereotypes about Black kids being good at sports. I cannot believe how many parents go along with this. Honestly.

Good at sports = lie of being "magical" (inhuman) or lie of being more suited to physical work than intellectual.

Point it out when they say it!
I would suggest saying, "I know you mean well, and it seems like a nice thing, buy stereotypes hurt people. First, it harms ppl in that group who don't fit the expectation. Second, here's how Nazis/Neo-Nazis twist these stereotypes to get ppl to agree to harm others."
Reaffirm your child's good intentions and let them know you're not judging or scolding, just telling them something that even most adults don't realize because you know they'd never want to harm anyone.
If it seems more nefarious - if they're being offensive to be "edgy" say that racism or anti-semitism are those things even when they're a "joke". Saying you're joking doesn't undo that.

Explain how hate is normalized by jokes & ppl feel empowered to be bigoted by these jokes.
If your child really believed the stereotypes or is behaving in a racist or otherwise bigoted manner, consult a mental health professional whose values match yours as well as your school admin if you think it's coming from it being encouraged by kids at school.
You simply cannot allow your child to harm, intimidate or bulky anyone - abd bigoted jokes or behavior are all of those things.

Catch it early!
Lots of typos, ugh, but hopefully the points made here still make sense.
