The argumentative India

We love to debate many things - no everything actually. Even if we agree we love still love a good discussion.

i get to see recommendations, at times ridicule of who is a guru - how he must dress, speak, behave and even live.
If i knew how someone else should be then why am i not all that? duh! i am not a realised being yet. I dont know the very fundamental nature of life. But i do know how everyone else ought to be in order to receive a tick in my teenie tiny mind box.

somewhat like this
i dont recollect having identical types of teachers in my school or for that matter in life. I dont recollect all students loving the same teachers.
i also dont recollect the teacher with the most doctorates or most doctoral students being the most endearing one.
i would rather have a #TuesdayswithMorrie than a borrieee... if you know what i mean.
What a rich lineage and parampara we come from. learnt more about Naths, Munis, Rishis from the great Aghori Vimalananda via Robert Svoboda than from anywhere else.
To me thats a reflection of my (limited) comprehension. I am glad there was a guru & a disciple who helped me learn
Rishi Atri, Shiva, Adi Yogi, SaiBaba, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Swami Vivekananda, Ramana Maharishi, Shri Raghavendra, Adi Sankaracharya, Goraknath, Paramahamsa Yogananda, Mahaavatar Babaji, Buddha, Krishna, Shri Yukteshwar Maharaj, Osho, Jiddu - a tiny sampling of the limitless
love & celebrate the beauty of my land - blessing of a million gurus & paths. I can pick that which resonates with me. 1 doesnt negate other

For a wedding in the family we seek the blessings of Sringeri :& its wonderful. For my spiritual journey, daily existence, breath -My guru
i am always amused at how we codify a guru. When i look no one resembles another. All that i know so far is that a realised being is beyond comprehension. A guru does what is needed for the times not what suits your idea of perfect, right, morally appropriate, etc.,
He dons the garb that is needed & sheds it as is needed. Teaching a prince & a pauper in languages they understand, but with no distinction in his compassion and love.
He is certainly not there for comfort or solace. That is available aplenty elsewhere. He is there to burn and destroy. Because he is in a hurry. You better not tarry if you want to burn. NOW is all that there is.
He burns so you can catch on.
And he arrives when you are ready. Not when you are busy typecasting.

When you know that you know not, he is there ready to take you down a difficult path with the gentleness of a flower petal & the toughness of a diamond
So lucky to be alive in the times of my GURU. I am so lucky i can celebrate all those who have walked this earth from Maha Periyavaa, Ramana Maharishi, Shri Raghavendrar, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Swami Vivekananda, Paramahamsa Yogananda, Shri Yukteshwar Maharaj & the limitless
