OK, "Can I come to a private hospital if I have Covid?" Here's what's going to happen. (1/)
1. Cat 1 & mild Cat 2 will be discharged for home monitoring if eligible. Patients in Cat 3-5 will be admitted if facilities available
2. Cat 1= X symptoms. Cat 2= symptoms, X pneumonia

3. Who's eligible for home monitoring?
- adults <60yrs
- able to adhere to SOP
- suitable home condition
- Cat 1 kids w/o comorbidities & with suitable caregivers
- Cat 2 kids >2yrs old w/o comorbidities & with suitable caregivers

4. Who is a suitable caregiver?
- <60yrs old
- not pregnant
- no serious illness e.g. Chronic kidney disease, respiratory disease, uncontrolled diabetes, serious heart disease
- not immunocompromised
- does not have any other disease considered high risk

5. What are the SOP's?
- stay at home & maintain distance fr other family members. NO VISITORS
- able to comply w/ preventive measures e.g. wearing mask, regular hand washing, cough etiquette
- able to report health status via phone or MySejahtera
- have separate eating utensils

6. What is a suitable home condition?
- always has access to a telephone
- separate bedroom/ isolation area w/ attached bathroom preferred
- other occupants of the house not immunocompromised
- appropriate caregivers are present in the house

7. Call doctor if:
- trouble breathing/ unable to walk
- chest pain
- unable to eat/drink. Loss of appetite due to loss of smell/taste makes it worse. Beware dehydration
- worsening symptoms ie fever, lethargy, cough, nausea, vomiting
- diarrhea >2x a day
- reduced consciousness

8. Patients w pneumonia/ need O2 or critically ill will be admitted if there are suitable facilities.
BNM is discussing with insurance providers to decide coverage. At the moment, all patients in private hospitals will have to pay for care.

9. Those isolating at home will have to provide daily reports via MySejahtera app and monitored by District Health Office or private GPs.
