April 1937: Ohioans protest a proposed $16 million cut to the state operating budget
April 1962: College students with the Student Peace Union protest against U.S. nuclearing testing -- featuring students from Ohio State University, Ohio University, Antioch College and Kenyon College
April 1961: Antioch College and Ohio State University students protest against American intervention in Cuba
June 1931: Hundreds of state employees "stormed the statehouse" to protest salary cuts. Among those present were "veteran departmental workers, girl stenographers, husky penitentiary guards, institutional employees and men and women clerks"

It was described as a "near-riot"
