One thing that really burns my biscuit is when I see someone dunking on someone else for what they perceive to be "useless info" This isn't a sub tweet.

I've always tried in my life and here on Twitter to build up others, tell my story but at the same time manage expectations.
When I say you can get to where I am in my career with a HS diploma, I say it because I am living that but I also realize that that may not be achievable for everyone.

I say I got lucky.

Part of my luck was knowing a lot of useless info.
It's enabled me to speak to just about anyone which in my visible position is key.

One time I attended an event where there was this Japanese martial arts master. I don't remember his name but he was a big deal.

Everyone there was going nuts because they wanted to meet him.
Me, I'm standng there like a jerk not knowing what everyone is freaking about when this man in a suit comes up to me and says that the karate dude wants to speak to me.

I'm like who?😳

He's like, please this way 🙄

So, I follow.
The karate master is in the floor and he smiles and motions me to come closer.

I'm in a suit but I'm like screw it and I plop down next to him.

Fanbois are gasping at me. So is suit dude.

I'm like You wanted to see me, karate guy?

He says yes, that I look out of place.
Then he asks me my name. He tries to pronounce it. I say it slower. He asks me what Tara means.

I say

In Ireland, I am the place where kings dwell but in India, I am a sacred goddess, my name meaning from the stars.

He starts writing on this paper.
Fanbois are leaning in. They're whispering that the karate guy they've been waiting to meet is giving ME an autograph.

The idiot disrespecting the legend by thinking I was worthy to sit with him.

Karate guy gives me the paper.

He says that it's the closest to Tara he could get
Then he bowed his head at me.

Said something like Go in peace, friendly goddess of the stars.

I stood and bowed low to him in return.

On my way out, one of the fans run up to me.

What did he write to you, he demands.

Whatever the hell he wanted to, I replied.
The karate master saw that I was different from the rest. That's why he picked me out. I wasn't drooling all over him. In that moment, however short it was, I made an impression on him that he stopped what he was there to do to interact with me.

That's one of my skills.
Any one can have it too.

So if your thing is watching manga or underwater observation of coral or you like to make fake RPG maps imaging far off worlds, one day that knowledge will come in handy.

Be different.

Stand ALL the way out.
