What this shows is just how bad these language models are on a technical level. They lack all nuance and even basic understanding for anything people say.

Think about this the next time someone writes about how great GPT-3 or whatever is. These systems are shit that kinda maybe sometimes works for some small subset of standard-ish language.

These language models are shit and don't believe people telling you otherwise.

I get that some dinky forum just uses a list of "bad words" to make moderation easier. Totally fine.

But these companies, whether it's Facebook, Google, Microsoft or OpenAI claim to have created "intelligence" of sorts. They should go to therapy for those delusions of grandeur.

My main issue is not some tech bros or scientists playing with bullshit tech. My main issue that politicians start believing the hype and pushing for the implementation of these systems.

We already see people in politics asking to "solve the climate catastrophe with AI". We let them shift responsibility to magic tech (THAT DEMONSTRABLY DOES NOT WORK) instead of doing what we know needs to be done.

That is why the #AI hype is so toxic.

I wanted to be in bed 30 minutes ago and now I am back at this "AI" shit. It never stops. It will keep coming and coming. Because there is so much stupid money to be made. And so much power to gain.

And currently main stream media does not seem to be prepared for this and keep repeating tech bro PR.
