[tw // ship, genshin impact. a thread.]

i have no intention of starting a controversy. i just want to address this peacefully, without any ill-intentions. (〃＾▽＾〃)
yup, I'm like kazuha and his name, which means calm, harmony, peace, concord, serenity. no hate! just peace.

every day in the genshin impact fandom, i feel really anxious whenever i want to post a drawing about a ship that i like, or retweet something about the ship that i like. i am only a fan, like everyone here in the fandom.

fandom is a community. you may see some people shipping this character with that character, but, of course, that's a very normal thing to see in a fandom.

but not everyone is a shipper. some people may just want to see the fanarts of the characters they like, or the news of future updates, or the tips of battling monsters and characters' building...

...oh, and of course, the memes.

and from the past few months, i learned a lot from other fanartists. not everyone likes the shipping pair that they like. of course, I knew that in the first place. everyone has different opinions, after all.

we have different perspectives, different backgrounds, different cultures, different preferences, different personalities, etc. i, too, have some shipping pairs that i don't like. but whenever i see one, i just move on. they do them. i do me. peace.

artists spend hours, and a lot of stamina in order to create a piece of artwork. we love what we are doing, and we are passionate. we share our artwork on the internet so that everyone can see it.

but one thing that irked me the most is how, some people, proceed to send hate to the artists when the artists draw something that they don't like. and here i thought, "oh, that's very disrespectful."

all of the callouts and the harsh words... it really hurts for me to see them. whenever i try to search a ship tag and find some tweets trash-talking about certain artists, oh... that... hurts. that hurts a lot.

i may not be the artists they're talking about, but i can feel their pain if i were them.

please, remember that the artists you're talking with, are also human. we have feelings, just like you. we can be happy, we can be sad, we can react to things.

don't think we can't see your comments, we always hear you. we always see you. and we always appreciate all the supports that people give to us. a simple "thank you" isn't enough. we reallllly appreciate all supports, but we aren't really sure how to express them well.

if you don't like the content that they draw or share, don't say anything to them. Just simply unfollow -> block -> mute. it's not a hard thing to do. i believe all of the artists will appreciate that instead of hearing any hurtful comments from you.

we probably don't know what you've been through in your life, and you probably don't know what we've been through in our life. there may be some young artists that's being affected by the impact.

most young artists aren't emotionally mature. they probably don't know how to process all of these things, and it may leave a very, very deep wound in their heart and it will stay there until they're becoming a fully grown-up adults.

and there might be some artists who absolutely have no ill-intentions and are a very sensitive person being affected mentally.

in the fandom, we're here to have fun with each other, not throwing hates and forcing your opinions about something on people. the physical pain heals over time, but words make a deeper cut that may never heal. be careful of what you tweet. words can easily break someone's heart.

TLDR; artists are also humans. they have feelings. if you don't like what they draw, simply unfollow, block, mute, and move on. don't throw harsh words on their artwork. it hurts.

i'm making this thread in order to relieve all of the burdens that i've been holding inside my chest. and i hope in the future, this fandom will develop a better environment for all artists. of course, this also applies to every fandom of every series.

of course, this also applies to all non-artist-shippers! to all of you non-artists who support artists, man, you are all amazing!! you deserve a high five from me.
