1. The Gospel is the “Good News” that Jesus (Yeshua), the Son of God incarnate; through his life, work, & resurrection has accomplished the mission of the Triune God. This mission is the cosmic reconciliation & reunification of all things brought into disarray due to the curse.
2. The hyper-individualistic gospel teaches that Jesus life, death, & work was only about saving people.
The gospel as presented in scripture is about cosmic redemption & reunification which *includes* God’s image bearers which are fallen creatures due to the corruption of sin.

3. Social injustice is what happens when fallen humanity comes together and created a society. Fallen people create fallen systems, institutions, & structures & the gospel is not merely about redeeming people, but also redeeming ALL brokenness, including societal oppression.
4. “THE Social Gospel” fails b/c it truncates God’s redemptive work thru Christ to merely fixing social ills. The Hyper-individualistic gospel championed by White Evangelicalism fails b/c it truncates redemptive work to merely saving people while ignoring corrupt structures.
5. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is about the salvation of the cosmos. We, people, are the crown & glory of the created order as we’ve been made in God’s image. Christ’s redemptive work in the lives of human beings is essential & glorious, but it is a part of a much more grand work.
6. A proper gospel herald will declare:
“There is Good news! God has done it! Yahweh has fulfilled his covenantal promises & delivered us! The Triune God has sent his Son to take on flesh & accomplish all necessary for the cosmos to be freed from curse & all broken reunified!”
“There is Good news! God has done it! Yahweh has fulfilled his covenantal promises & delivered us! The Triune God has sent his Son to take on flesh & accomplish all necessary for the cosmos to be freed from curse & all broken reunified!”
7. “Jesus, thru his perfect life has become the new Adam. He is the new representative of redeemed humanity & stands in our law place granting us his righteousness thru faith. Thru his death he takes on our judgement, & thru his resurrection now stands as Lord over the cosmos!”
8. All of nature groaned under the weight of the curse, but thru Christ, Nature itself is being liberated! Christ, thru his church, is pressing against the Kingdom of Darkness & thru the Power of the Holy Spirit, light WILL emanate from wherever the curse (darkness) is found!”
9. Side note: Jesus’ promise to Peter that “the gates of hell will not prevail against the church” was not just a spiritual declaration. Jesus was saying darkness will not prevail against the church & that the church, empowered by Spirit, will be on mission to eradicate darkness
