IDK who needs to hear this, but antifa/BLM doesn’t organize the same way the MAGA crowd does because their objectives are entirely predicated on community defense and protecting vulnerable people, rather than actively seizing power.
I know a lot of y’all work in cyber threat intel, and I know a lot of y’all have a lot of misconceptions around anarchism and antifascism, both of which are pretty overwhelmingly “we just want to feel safe and be left alone” ideologies.
Militant antifascist actions are pretty universally in direct opposition to the threat of the violent racists you all watched storm the capitol, but descending on our own communities. As they have always done.
Antifa/BLM overwhelmingly do not plan events like last week’s, because they are movements centered on saving lives. The objectives of both antifa and BLM are to keep each other safe. They do not go on the offensive because they are literally fighting not to die. Posture matters.
If you, and your cyber threat intel operations, are focusing attention on antifa and BLM, you are, quite frankly, wasting your time, and squandering valuable assets which would be better spent understanding the full depth of the white nationalist threat.
I am a security professional. I am known and respected in my field. And I am asking you all, as my industry peers, to please understand that the last two weeks are only the tip of the white supremacist threat iceberg. Please do not waste precious seconds in addressing it.
We all know that objectives are a key defining factor in whether or not a threat actor is an adversary.

Ask yourself why you are considering groups assuming a defensive posture to be a threat. Do you still think antifa/BLM are your adversaries?
I have deliberately left my characteristic number of naughty-words out of this thread so it can be disseminated by those of you whose professional environments are most in need of reading it.

You’re welcome. :P
