Breaking twitter quarantine to remind you that we're already well into the spring seed buying feeding frenzy.

Larger, mainline seed companies are swamped & restricting their orders.

So here are some smaller seed companies that are great, and are still taking orders!

#1, their mission is rad.

#2, This is one of the few seed companies that (IME) just ships when you order, instead of waiting until spring. Super important for gardeners in the South where most seed co's "spring" is our "summer, it's too hacking late."

I made my first order from them today, but if their youtube is anything to go by they really know wtf they're doing.

Also, varieties from SE China/SE Asia in general tend to handle really well in the hot, humid, shady conditions of our yard.
High Mowing Seeds- not exactly an unknown, but it's a Vermont-based seed co' that smaller than Johnny's & still taking orders.
Gurney's: more of a mainstream seed company, but also still taking orders. How do they do it? Charging a LOT of money for their goods đź’€ But hey, they still have seed potatoes.
That's it for general-purpose garden veggies. Will be doing herbs & tropical plants ordering in a few days and/or weeks since they tend to be less impacted by pandemic demand surge.
lol and oh yeah avoid Baker Creek whenever possible, they kept platforming Cliven Bundy until forcibly persuaded not to
