I was flummoxed by the first Bow Wow Wow album: Annabella basically naked on the back cover and the long, seemingly nonsensical title. Later, I was starstruck when I encountered her on an airplane. 1/

This Human League album reminds of the year when the 8th grade girls were inexplicably interested in the 6th grade boys. I still don't understand how that could happen, but Dare was the soundtrack to a particular mind-blowing party. 3/
One middle school weekend, I saw the Thompson Twins at the Palace on Friday night and the Blasters at the Universal Amphitheater on Saturday. I've talked to @davealvin about that show, but I've never encountered a TT. 4/
