“I watched that war on TV“..powerful to say with the images shown in the film.. the disconnect. Also the vast symbolism of death. Inc the owl shirt Alice wears(current state) and the Greek Olympic tee(past state) of the country having Olympics.
In the place they stay, there are skulls on the wall. And later we see photos on the wall of those lost in war.. powerful connections. There is taxidermy in the room. Inc a eagle in flight.. frozen in glory.. but dead.
A shattered nation, and shattered man-brought together by a one who could see into his soul... who has seen his inner war. ... I need to watch it a bunch more times.. this one digs deep.
