X received a lot of mainstream appeal with his single Look At Me. The very interesting thing about this record is that it was originally released on SoundCloud (30/12/2015) while it had a buzz didn’t gain much attention until Jan 2017 and was remastered/released again in Feb 2017
Look At Me has to be one of the most innovative pieces of music released in the last decade
It was the first scream rap type of song to go global with its polarizing beat and humorous lyrics that just make you want to scream

Following his lead single Look at me X released a mixtape “revenge”
On this record X shows how innovative and personal he can be with songs like I don’t want to this anymore, looking like a star and slipknot
It showed the mainstream audience he could do more than scream rap

The beautiful thing about this album is that X still catered to his fans that were going through tough times while also appealing to the mainstream, this showed on songs like sad and changes

Sadly later on that year(6/18/2018) he passed away, may his soul rest in peace. He will always be remembered as a legend and a cultural figure who changed and impacted peoples life with his music
After his death two posthumous albums were then released. I feel like they should have kept his discography the way it was but it was nice to hear new music from him none the less
