The minimum wage conversation is always reductive and circular, at least on here. The same nonsense talking points come up each year. But what's consistently amazing is how much contempt people have for others, and define their success in relation to how much others struggle.
Behind all the flimsy economic arguments, the lack of moral reasoning, and the threat of retaliation veiled as concern, is just the belief by so many that they don't want those who they see as beneath them making so much. That's it. And they're proud to hold such beliefs.
So many people need to ask themselves if they really want a better world or if they want a world in which they're the privileged.
Please get over the idea that others need to fail, and you need to dominate your fellow human being, for your success to mean something. Life isn't the Hunger Games. It only seems that way by design and only for those who already have next to nothing.
