My priors generally align me to @EpsilonTheory and @WRGuinn but I’m genuinely shocked the zeitgeist hasn’t figured out B117 is a clear and present danger. My sense is that the Trump circus is consuming too many mental resources. But that can’t be the only reason.
Maybe I’ve got a stronger sense of the scale of the issue as I have British and Irish friends who are currently living in a hell that far surpassed my experiences in NYC in March & April. Which had been emotionally America’s Italy and Wuhan. But the UK is way past that
My guess is that folks who sounded the alarm last time are just over it. They have other problems on their mind. Democracy. Making money in this new world order. So a peak on a past problem is for the bureaucracy not the elite. They’ve washed their hands.
This is a fair response. I’m over it. I’ve begun thinking about how to capitalize on the next decade. The land grab is more interesting. But covid isn’t finished or settled. It’s consequences are still in motion. Is speculators need to remember that
