Short thread: Below is a *very* non-exhaustive list of Irish fascist Twitter accounts who have 24/7, 365 days a year openly targeted minorities in this country. These accounts are mostly, not all, directly connected to The National Party, an extremist Catholic, fascist & ethno-nationalist operation led by Justin Barrett. They coordinate off-line in private messaging groups on far-right platforms such as Telegram and Gab.

You will very easily find them directing racist and homophonic abuse in the replies to minorities who are successful or gaining prominence in public life. You will also very easily find them in the replies to positive articles about minorities on RTÉ, The Journal, Irish Times etc

It is tiresome, & a lot of the time feels utterly pointless trying to highlight their transgressions against amazing people who actually contribute to Irish society through the arts, politics, media, unlike them, who contribute nothing to this country except hate.

But doing nothing, dismissing them as fringe, or ignoring them in the hope they will simply go away is not an option. Social media should be a space to share ideas, debate those we disgree with, & learn. It should not be a space to spread hate & abuse people based on their traits
