Lately, I was considered as a hater because I stayed true to my beliefs and it is not the first time. So I wanted to make myself clear.
I was never against shipping but I am against harmful, toxic behaviour towards artists.
When artists did not out themselves publicly as a couple (hetero or gay), not our role to out them whatever we think. To make them recognizable with pics, full name (tags), and affirm they're together or are other celeb BF or GF is DEFAMATION. Would u accept it about you?
Lately more and more #bjyx candies without CPN or rumour mention in the tweet & using real names/real name tags. Please consider that since both have Twitter topics, such tweets will be there too, might give passersby (brands, other artists, industry ppl, antis) wrong impressions
For videos & pics, please mention if edits/ fan arts. China civil code added a new law about a reputation right. We know why they added it. 227 showed the ultimate & malicious cyberbullying which harmed #XiaoZhan so much. So why aren't we more cautious about their i-reputation?
As fans, we shall not feed antis but protect their reputation. Why spreading distorted/unverified facts /rumours. The entertainment world is harsh & they have to work so hard to be recognized, to stay at the top. We shall respect their efforts & not be the knife that stabs them.
Btw I would not mind if my faves are gays as I am part of LGBT myself. So I am not homophobic. Just I do not like false rumours about my fave as he is constantly outed without his consent and all these rumours are used by antis to hurt him and his reputation.
I am an actress and I know fanservice very well. Many have a bad image of fanservice and would say that their faves would never do fanservice. Fanservice is totally common in the industry. It just means to be nice/ respectful to our fans/ audience and promote the works we are in.
But if artists (from a recent testimonial from KPOP idol) are forced to do fanservice they do not want to do. That's wrong!
We're happy to provide positive fanservice bec we're proud of our works/ want them to be well received. Fan service is part of our entertainer job.
PS: As part of the LGBT community myself and living in Asia, I am aware of the complexity of the LGBT community here and how careful people still need to be safe.
If you are a fan and an lgbtq+ rights supporter please take the time to educate yourself about the actual situation and the consequences of using their full names in public fan works and discussions.
