Science and scientific practice has never been objective, and that's okay.

All the things we love about science are in spite of, and in some cases because of, the fallibility of those who do it.
What we have been able to do with science is amazing. Our world is significantly more advanced today than it was 200 years ago.

But we don't need to lie to ourselves about science to appreciate that.
Some are trying to make science almost into a religion of sorts. We must not question the objectivity of science. We must not question the motives, the drives, the causes, the purity of the search for truth.

None of that is necessary. I'd venture that none of that is good.
Scientism, and the seeming worship of science, is not to the benefit of either science or humanity.

Science is flawed because humans are flawed.
We can appreciate both science and humanity in our totality.
