According to new polling from Ipsos, the number of Canadians that think COVID-19 vaccines should mandatory has gone up 5 points since November.

72 per cent said they would personally take a COVID-19 vaccine, as soon as they could, without hesitation.

The poll also found that 82 per cent of Canadians said those at social and economic disadvantage in areas with high caseloads should be a priority to receive the vaccine.

18 per cent of those surveyed believed they will not be eligible to receive the vaccine this year.

There is also hesitancy amoung some Canadians, with 15 per cent saying they would want to wait until next year or beyond to get the shot.

Finally, nearly 80 per cent of those surveyed believe that the COVID-19 vaccine will be effective at limiting the spread of the virus.
