One year since I don't work in my 9-5
One year since I try to win by myself
These are the 9 lessons I've learned my first year
One year since I try to win by myself
These are the 9 lessons I've learned my first year
1. It is not easy.
It took me 10 months to figure out what I wanted to do
[1. Filmmaking → 2. Online Course Agency → 3. Notion Systems]
Plus 4 months until I earned something near a full-time income ($2k a month)

2. It is not fast
Don't get fooled by the fast success some people get.
While it is possible, it's not the norm.
Getting a full-time income starting from zero takes time.
AND that is normal.

3. The money earned is WAY more rewarding.
Having ONE $2k month working for myself felt shockingly much better than earning $4k PER MONTH in my corporate job.
Hell, I almost cried. https://twitter.com/dcanosa/status/1343786412173389824?s=20

4. It's a roller-coaster.
I've been at the top. I've been at the bottom.
And it comes and goes.
Sometimes you sell $300 in a day.
Sometimes you sell nothing in three days.
I'm still trying to get used to this.

5. It pushes you to learn much more.
Everything you learn can potentially increase your income.
So the stakes are high.
Either you learn and apply or you stagnate and lose.

6. You are in control
When working for others, you can get fired overnight (as it happened to me).
When working for yourself, failure will happen gradually, you'll see it coming, and you always can pivot and try to avoid it.
Plus it's easier to diversify your income.

7. The more you chase it the less you have it.
I got addicted to sales come to my phone, so the content I was producing was to get even more sales
Result?
I started to lose followers
I started to earn less
I learned. I'm changing that
Lead with value and the money will come

8. Mindset and support are vital
This is also a psychological game
Don't get attached to success
Failure is not permanent
It all comes and goes
Also, I'm extremely grateful for having @_Dashasaltykova by my side to help through the bad times and to share the good ones
