Some ideas for effective remote feedback of different types (THREAD).

1. Using MS Forms for self-marking quizzes and to respond immediately to misconceptions. I have found this most useful for Do Nows, or quick knowledge checks and students love the instant score they receive
2. Using intentional monitoring and 'Show Call.' Set assignments on Teams and select 'students can edit their own copy.' 'Drop in' to documents during independent practice and use the snipping to tool to showcase models or address misconceptions
3. Remote whole class feedback: the main difference between in school is that it is harder for students to have their original work in front of them. The focus needs to shift instead to 'feed forward' tasks (thanks @__codexterous for the phrase!) that move students forwards
The main thing to remember is @dylanwiliam's wisdom - feedback needs to help students do a better job next time to be effective. We need to be constantly looking out for and addressing misconceptions - all the more important outside of the physical classroom!
Hope this is helpful to anyone planning feedback/ navigating lots of online work submissions @Team_English1 #disthist #remoteteaching
