Bad bosses fear minimum wage hikes due to the obvious up-front cost of paying their workers more, because they're too short-sighted to understand what happens when *everyone else* suddenly makes more money. https://twitter.com/shaun_vids/status/1350330299889176577
If you provide goods and services, you want your potential customers to have disposable income. *Every* minimum wage worker suddenly making more? Good!
But it's really hard to see past the cost of paying your own people more.

Time and time again I see small business owners on here say they would go out of business if they had to pay workers even *slightly* more, simply unaware that the reason their business is so close to death is because *no-one has any money* to spend at their establishment.
Also: If you run a business that will instantly collapse if it had to pay the people who *make your money* a couple bucks more, you run a failed business, and the free market has spoken.
I run a failed business that will run out of money and turn to dust if I have to pay my 4 employees $3 more an hour. Allow me to tell you how to run the economy
