I worked in advertising agencies a long long time ago, & in my personal exp, Bumi agencies do this.

Pay is minimal but kunun makan sedap, pi cuti2 sama2.

Ni semua trick dia nk kurangkan Overhead at employees expense.

A staff pay RM1.2k.
Tanggung lunch RM10x10hari=100.

10 hari is enough to be seen as tanggung lunch. BS kalau kata bayar everyday.

At most pun 20 days (ave working days in a month). So that's 200.

Cost is RM1.4k
Acceptable starting wages maybe RM1.8k.

That's a difference of RM400 a month.

RM4.8k per staff per year.

Say got only 5 staff. That's RM24k per year.
Another out is bonus.

Instead of trips, they bring for company trip or give presents like watches.

Let's base it again on RM1.2k wage.

Say bonus is a month. Instead of paying RM1.2k per staff, they search for company trip packages (around 500-600 per head for 3d2n)...
...for local destination.

Or maybe bagi hadiah. Budget maybe around the same price.

Savings per head is around RM500. 5 staff that's another RM2.5k
Look, I understand that there's a fine line between nak jaga profit and maintain morale.

But don't justify low pay with these "perks".

Semua benda nak dictate.
