Some of y'all really think terrorists are inherently stupid and that's pretty stupid.

Terrorists, adherents and leaders alike, usually aren't "stupid" at all. They don't neatly fit into knee-jerk stereotypes.

TERRORISM is very stupid however as it's only human and humans are...
humanity: ignorant, needlessly cruel, has to huddle together for warmth, literally just the absolute worst, writes hot checks

individual humans: can actually be pretty ok when circumstances allow
i don't know the appropriate way to say this but like...

if you assume tim mcveigh acted and sounded like gomer fucking pyle just because he did his terror in oklahoma.

you know?

y'all cut that shit out nyah
and if you can't understand terror unless there's a brown people comparison then like...

might get a visit when big brother sees this tweet out of context but "stupid" people don't plan and execute something like paris in 2015

those are moreso classic gross GWOT stereotypes tho
there are some aum stories that REALLY make aum seem like an almost lovable band of misanthropes who just couldn't seem to get their plans off the ground

for every SUCCESSFUL bio/chem attack there were like 3 or 4 embarrassing failures. the jello ass-smelling anthrax mist is one
like... the time aum took the don-don fog machine (which was their anime ass name for a literal terror death truck) to try to kill the leader of soka gakkai.

asahara was so excited he insisted on riding along and acting like was on the starship enterprise or whatever...
but there were like 3 dudes standing out in front of the other cult's cult compound so hayakawa made everyone turn back.

there are a billion stories of aum being goofy and stupid as absolute fuck hell. collectively AND as individuals.

but they weren't "stupid" people at all.
