This was interesting. When did the pangolin experiments begin? Pre- or post-covid?

“The WIV became a focal point for international coronavirus research after the 2003 SARS outbreak and has since studied animals including mice, bats, and pangolins.”
“Any credible inquiry into the origin of the virus must include interviews with these researchers and a full accounting of their previously unreported illness.”

Good timing. The @WHO origins investigation team is in China now.
Under the current circumstances of strong distrust in government, I personally feel that it would inspire more confidence if as much as possible of the supporting intelligence is declassified and released, while keeping sources safe.
Feels like this statement was held until @WHO team made it into China.
“To assist the vital work of.. (WHO) investigative team that arrived in China this week, the US (gov) is today sharing new information concerning the activities inside China’s government laboratories in 2019.”
Don’t know about “assisting” the @who team - I feel like this puts them between a rock and a hard place.

Especially without the actual intelligence/hard evidence to back up these claims.
I feel like a sign of good faith would be to release the intelligence actually backing these statements.

If there’s something real to work with, we can all get to work tracing the origins of the virus.
If it’s all classified, it would help for a list of credible officials who have verified these statements to be published so that we can understand that these findings are bipartisan, carefully reviewed, and deserving of a serious response from the @WHO and leaders worldwide.
