WLW ANIME: A THREAD

• i obviously don't know every wlw anime ever, so if u have any suggestions pls dm me!!

• these aren't all canon! some of these are just wlw subtext! that's why i'll be separating them in two categories: undertones and canon

for each anime, i'll say whether it's light (very low wlw content), medium, or heavy (very canon very much)

1. oshi ga budoukan ittekuretara shinu (canon/medium)

one important thing the summary doesn't mention is the fact that maina (the idol) has a huge crush on eripiyo (her fan) but is too shy to tell her

2. little witch academia (undertones/medium)

while it's not really yuri, if u like wlw enemies to lovers then u'll LOVE lwa!!

• fantasy, adventure, comedy

3. my next life as a villainess: all routes lead to doom! (canon/heavy)

she accidentally falls into a harem, and now all her friends are in love with her!! this includes the girls too !! its very canon i really recommend it

• comedy, romance, harem

4. bloom into you (canon/heavy)

BEST YURI ANIME EVER WATCH IT WATCH IT WATCH IT

• yuri, romance, drama

5. carole & tuesday (undertones/light)

this one isn't really wlw but they're a singing duo and they live together and they love eachother a lot. there are canon wlw characters in the show tho!!

• drama, music, comedy

6. asagao to kase-san (canon/heavy)

super soft movie about soft gfs !!!

• yuri, comedy, romance

7. mahou shoujo madoka magica (undertones/medium)

all sapphics should watch this anime at least once in their life

• psychological horror, fantasy, action, drama

8. liz and the blue bird (canon/kinda medium kinda heavy)

one of the best wlw movies out there!! it's visually stunning, the storytelling is amazing and the soundtrack??? CHEF'S KISS

9. fragtime (canon/heavy)

tbh i didn't like this one as much as the other ones but the ending makes up for it!! y'all should still watch it anyways i think it's worth it

10. adachi and shimamura (canon/heavy)

11. urasekai picnic (canon/not really sure bc it hasn't finished yet)

SCI FI HORROR ???? AND WLW????

14. violet evergarden gaiden (undertones/heavy)

u don't need to watch the show to understand the movie!! also it's available in netflix!

• drama, romance

16. vlad love (canon/possibly heavy but i'm not really sure bc it hasn't finished yet)

COMEDY ABOUT A VAMPIRE GIRL AND HER HUMAN GF ???

• comedy

17. revue starlight (undertones/heavy)

• drama, music

18. sakura trick (canon/heavy)

this one's super soft and cute!! also v funny!!

• yuri, romance, slice of life

19. revolutionary girl utena (canon/heavy)

it's an amazing show but it does cover a lot of content which people might find triggering, so if u do decide to watch it, please be aware of this!! i recommend looking up the triggers. i would add them here but the list is too long
