While y’all are quitting Google, consider also just decentralizing yourself in general.
I’m gonna become rich and famous after I pioneer a completely turn-key solution to a new, decentralized online life in a small box you can buy for a couple hundred bucks.
It’ll host your email, docs, calendar, contacts, social media (via Mastodon), etc., etc.

(I’m being mostly facetious. I’ll never be rich and famous.)
People are in my Mentions with Ideas about the Box, and here's what you need to know about Apple:
Apple didn't knock it out of the park with the iPod and iPhone because they were *~*~ well designed ~*~*, it was because those devices were easier to use than a can-opener.

of course, that's not really the case anymore, but the fact remains: make your thing not only solve a problem but do it so easily, so quickly, and so transparently that you're not even aware there was a problem in the first place, and you've already won.
the best devices are like God: you never even know they exist.
oh, and people should be able to easily spray-paint it and put stickers on it. this is of the essence.
it'll run AnarchLinux (okay this part really is a joke)
