How to become less busy and more EFFECTIVE (Thread 👇🏾) https://twitter.com/skantlee/status/1349845587588509703
Productivity is not how long or hard you work, it is how much value you create.

“Efficient is doing things right, effective is doing the right things”
1) Do the most important tasks first

Energy, time & willpower are limited resources.

You need to focus 70% - 90% of your effort on high value tasks before they get depleted.

Start your day with the 1-3 tasks you need to finish no matter what. This builds positive momentum...
2) Use the Eisenhower Matrix

Organize your to-do list based on urgency and importance;

* Urgent and important = Execute quickly

* Urgent but not important = Delegate

* Important but not urgent = schedule

Not important and not urgent = eliminate
3) Use Pareto’s Priniciple

“80% of your results will come from 20% of your efforts”

Focus on 3-5 things that will compound to great results in the long run.

Choose consistency over intensity.
4. Use @jackbutcher’s principle

“Use your free time to create systems that free up more time”

Create shortcuts or simple work flows for tasks you do regularly.
5) Get better at saying NO

People who are highly effective are good at NOT doing things.

Filling your day with low-value work will take away energy and creativity that should go toward high-value work.

Avoid having too many commitments.
6) Quit multitasking

You are biologically incapable of processing attention-rich inputs simultaneously.

Switching between tasks hampers your cognitive processing.

Take a singular objective, focus on it till it’s completed, move on the next.
7) Schedule deep work and play time

Create a time window where you reply emails or watch TikTok - but when it’s time for deep work, remove all distractions.

You get the best possible results when you work in Flow (a state of deep mental concentration).
8) Relax & recharge

The most important productivity hack is taking care of yourself.

Get enough sleep, eat healthy, exercise regularly, take long walks, get some sunshine and meditate.
